Better horse and burro management

From "Welcome to The Nevada Forum!"

Go to the project

To get our Rangelands and Water sources to healthier levels. Currently with the over population of one grazing animal (horses and burros) that is 4-10 times over what the NV public lands can maintain, the effects are beyond a critical stage. I own a once wild horse so I do appreciate the animals BUT today, I am frustrated by the inhumane side effects on everything that needs the lands to survive. NV must focus on this issue and quit ignoring what must be done - for over 54 years since the 1971 Wild Free-roaming Horses and Burros Act was put in place, every angle has been tried while Congress has not allowed the Act to be fully implemented. For the sake of our decreasing Wildlife numbers and the decimation of our ecosystem, time is running out; horses and burros must be logically managed.
