Better police-community relationships

One major problem is the relationship between police and our community. People here don’t feel protected; they feel watched. This is important to me because safety should come from trust, not fear, and that trust isn’t there right now.

When I go to protests in Henderson, the police are chill and feel like they're there for public safety.
When I go to downtown, metro feels like an army itching to start cracking skulls.

@Michael C. Have you considered a piece of that may be due to the calls that the different agencies respond to? I highly doubt Henderson police are involved as much as Metro is downtown with drunk, homeless, and drugged people. As well as at a protest you should be on high alert for anything dangerous from either side of the view of what is being protested. I’m sure if an alt right person started something you wouldn’t be opposed to “cracking skulls” then.
