Better public transportation

Public transportation. Nevada is built for cars which creates issues like pollution, higher costs for individuals and families, decline in quality of life and a less vibrant and engaged community. Although electric cars have become more popular, they will not move the needle on carbon emissions enough to reach the goals established in the Paris Accords. We need to improve and expand existing bus infrastructure and start building trains and light rail to connect southern and northern Nevada. Shifting to public transportation would eliminate pollution by making public transit just as or more convenient than cars. Nevadans rely on public transit for everything from grocery shopping to health care appointments. When it’s easier to move through the city your life is improved.
