Checks on NV Energy

Placing a greater check on NV Energy. In my opinion, NV Energy is an unchecked monopoly that holds too much power over our politics. They have disincentivized and successfully pushed forth legislation that is preventing common sense solutions that would lower energy costs and lessen the carbon footprint of Nevadans. Additionally, their actions are in the process of damaging one of Nevada’s greatest assets, our outdoor spaces. In our modern world, access to affordable electricity is becoming a means of survival from keeping cool in the summer to being connected to the world, we need solutions that address our energy systems because the current structure is simply not working.
