Corporate breaks hurt small contractors

When large corporations get awarded all the building projects this effects housing prices. Small local contractors can't compete due to excessive permits, licenses, and other regulations that make their costs high. During a recent build a contractor shared that approximately $5,000 of our cost was to cover all of these fees. We need to figure out how to support local hard working businesses and keep our money in the state. We shouldn't have fees that price small businesses out of local markets. Stop supporting big non local corporations, stop giving them tax breaks and allowing them to underbid local companies. These fees also lewd to many unlicensed contractors doing work.
