Data Centers and Water Usage

While data centers might look ok from an economic stand point, they require a lot of resources that will negatively impact our environment. Nevada is the driest state in the country, and data centers need excessive amounts of water for energy, cooling systems, and manufacturing. The Tahoe Reno Industrial Center water district already holds rights to over 4 billion gallons of water annually. Not to mention, Reno is already the fastest heating city in the United States, and Vegas isn't too far behind. Data Centers also create noise pollution, which can affect protected species, as well as people. People living near data centers are significantly more likely to experience mental health issues due to chronic noise pollution. Nevada needs to choose it's people over data centers!
