Deaths on Nevada roads

Maybe I had my head in the sand but did anyone else miss they changed the laws to a minor traffic violation if you kill somebody in your vehicle and it was not intentional? I am talking running a red light, running a stop sign, failing to yield and turning in front of someone. All of those are considered “not intentional” and all they are given is a ticket even if it results in deaths. I found this out when my only child was killed in January. I’m not asking for harsh punishments, however with the amount of accidents that occur in Las Vegas and high insurance premiums and resulting deaths something has to give. I am always one to take a phone survey. Yesterday I got a survey and all of the questions had to do with insurance premiums and personal injury lawsuits. I think the way they are going to frame all the accidents and deaths are from “ambulance chasing attorneys” and “insurance companies charging high prices.” Those are direct quotes from a few of their questions. People drive so reckless here and instead of holding drivers accountable they want to blame the insurance companies and personal injury lawyers.
