CCSD needs to be split. It is too large and there is definitely a huge problem with mismanaged funding. Clark County is one of the lowest rated school districts in the country! The teachers are some of the worst paid! How can we expect quality education when teachers are not paid a livable wage and provided with basic supplies!

This state has had the worst education system since was a kid in the 90s. It’s not the administration. The public education system is garbage and the charter schools are just as bad. Charter schools are getting away with allowing serious SA / harassment , bullying by “teachers” and students, lack of accountability or follow of their own policies and education. Core classes and physical education should be the only focus until the kids can be successful students. Work all the other classes back in as the scores rise. Also mandate that every teacher must have a masters or be working toward one to teach and have a teaching certificate. No staff who aren’t properly educated. Also I think more homeschooling resources because common core is not for every child. If you can’t find teachers do what the army does and relocate them to teach from elsewhere and pay them well. We have casino money for road work. Maybe focusing the budget on education instead of on bus lanes for the homeless to sleep on would be beneficial. Also providing ELS to students and their family members after school might help as well.
