My kids are grown and I'm a homeOWNER. Where are the referendums and why am I not getting the chance to vote for more funding out of my property taxes?
Our schools are trash. Our teachers are overwhelmed and their administration is WAY overpaid. Is it that our state is infested with boomers that don't want to pay because they don't have kids? Sit and cry over lack of Healthcare workers but won't pay taxes on schools to teach them? Gen X and millennials have to step up because the OLDS are holding our states hostage with idiocy and greed.

Boomers aren't the problem, Neither is Gen X or Y or Z. The problem is our students have a Californianized education system that prioritizes standardized testing instead of garnering the intellectual competence to think for themselves or gain sustaining skills that don't need a college degree to feed oneself. Qualitative assessment is tossed to the bin in favor of who can regurgitate the most unimportant of details that don't present competency, intellect, analytical logic, or autonomous creativity. Blaming others for failures of the self is better known as projection, and you seem to be Piled High and Deep with it. More money isn't going to solve a deeper problem. The facade is broken, and you still deny it and blame others for the failures of the system Gen X and Y didn't build, and the Boomer system you dismantled. Yes, the Boomers created a good educational system that stood as a pinnacle the world over. Gen X and Y sustained it. It's been torn apart, and you're condemning the past generations for not adhering to your way of thinking. You want the system to be fixed? Look in the mirror and see who killed the golden goose before you blame others. You want your kids to have the education we had? Reinstitute Qualitative Assessment and abolish Standardized testing. That would be a good Step 1.
