Functional Home Rule

The state has to much control over the day to day operations of local government. Counties and cities are not empowered to make many decisions at the community level. Nevada is a diverse state and its communities need the ability to determine solutions to community level issues that are unique to the vast and varied communities throughout the state. The State Legislature meets only in odd years and this limits local governments ability to "ask permission" to make important decisions that affect the day to day life of Nevadans.
