Homeschool education
From "Welcome to The Nevada Forum!"
Go to the project
Our state passed legislation years ago for homeschool families to be able to use the funds the school would normally get to buy curriculum and other education essentials, this is a law that is already passed, the problem is they never fund the program. As a Christian it is my responsibility for my children’s upbringing and overall paideia, so we have chosen to homeschool our kids at minimum k-8, the public school system is failing we are ranked 48 in the country what parent wouldn’t homeschool at this time surprise me, and homeschool families should be able to use these funds. The law was passed and yet the legislators refuse to fund this program. This would seem to be to be their duty to fund a program that’s been legislatively passed and signed by the governor. Why is this program not funded? Because a certain party opposes it or what ?

I chose to homeschool my child. I was given the education choices by a judge, I had my NOI, I was in full compliance and they took myson away from me for educational neglect, I havent seen him in two years. There is so much wrong with how Nevada handles homeschooling. And getting help is non existent. That money is going into their pockets. And if not, they use it against you for mentioning it.

@Christina P. This is so wrong and I donot see why the state has a right to take your child away when you are providing an education at home. Liberal judges need to not represent us here.
