Teachers should stay on teaching our kids high quality academics and not politics. Quality of teachers are declining over the years as well. They keep asking for more pay but are not doing their job. Heard about a few schools are closing in LV due to low enrollment. How did that happen ??
* -parents stop sending their kids public school because of our horrible/poor quality education
* kids are not learning math/ELA/science/history but gender issues and political issue that has nothing to do with academics
Since enrollment is low maybe now the students can have the attention they are supposed to with a lower teacher student ratio.

Exactly these schools forget parents are the ones that teach their children worldview, these woke teachers think just because they have a degree they are experts and know better

If schools teach current events, it needs to be with the intent to develop strong critical thinking skills. Current events could be used to learn the art of debate so that kids are required to learn all the various components of an issue and be able to defend points of view with facts while holding space for others' perspectives with restraint and a respectful demeanor.

How do ee expect our students to then participate or even be civilly engaged without learning the basics of government? Learning about or government, which is considered to be teaching of politics, is essential for our democracy and everything that America is meant to stand for. Teachers cannot enforce political beliefs and regardless, majority of political beliefs are instilled from what’s learned at home and with friends, not solely the teacher.
