You have to first have people who want to be police officers. It’s not that they aren’t hiring, with the way society keeps demonizing police officers I too would be terrified. Every shift they are on high alert and if they make a split second decision immediately they are all over the news. Can you imagine choosing to do that for work? It’s not an easy position to fill these days.
