Our schools are some of the worst in this country. Why? Because we don’t tax mining. We don’t tax gaming. We don’t have corporations paying their fair share. We let our children pay the price for business as usual.

why should my taxes increase because you expect the schools to educate what you're unwilling to continue at home? Teach intellect. Teach creative fixes to complicated challenges. It's not just the teacher who's responsible for filling your kids mind with knowledge. Scratch that. Kids today are drowning in knowledge but aren't being taught utilization to garner wisdom. There's no amount of money you can spend to teach wisdom without experiences schools are wholly insufficient to influence or instruct.

Funny you should write about taxing mining. I’m watching the KTNV news and that’s exactly what they’re talking about. Evidently from 2024-2025 Nevada received $200M and only $64M went to counties. The rest went to our education system. I did not fact check but it looks like the state is collecting money for the mining in our state.
