Nevada is Food Insecure
From "Welcome to The Nevada Forum!"
Go to the project
In Nevada 90% + of the food consumed by residents is imported from other places. There is minimal government regulation of food. Corporate grocers build in high-end areas resulting in entire communities where there is not a location to buy affordable ingredients.
Food should be accessible, available, affordable, and appropriate for everyone who lives in Nevada.

Nevada could be a major provider of local food through the use of indoor hydroponics. We do not need soil or outdoor space to grow good organic food.
