Pave some of the dirt roads

Sandy Valley Road between the Clark County CDP of Sandy Valley and NV-160 is a dirt road worthy of paving. This roadway serves as a major access route for Sandy Valley residents traveling to Pahrump and as an alternate route to Las Vegas via NV-160. If Clark County will not consider this a near-term paving project, perhaps NDOT can assume maintenance and convert the road to state highway status.

Nevada could be a motorcycle destination with better roads through rural areas. Gas stations in these areas will bring tourism up and new money to the state, and create new jobs too. The railroad did that in the 1800s and early 1900s, rural areas could be saved with motocycle tourism. Gas stations, restaurants, hotels or motels, camp grounds, grocery stores, museums based on the areas history. People want to come and see Nevada, not everyone wants to come here to gamble, or take in a show. We have nature in abundance here. Geological wonders that can be destinations. Historical ghost towns. People love ghost towns.
