Police corruption and abuse

Abuse of power among police officers and any other people in positions of power who are considered public servants. This is personally important to me as a survivor of sexual abuse and domestic violence who was charged with a crime after reporting the abuse against me, allegedly due to my abuser's connection to police. Over the course of two years, my police report was withheld. I tried contacting every public official I could after police refused to assist, and received no help. I was eventually arrested at my home and convicted, with my abuser being allowed to testify against me and lied. The officer involved falsified my report which I could prove because the body cam footage of my report contradicted it, yet I was still convicted. I'm not from the only person who has experienced this.
