Public Transportation

We cannot continue to see road expansions as the only solution to our traffic problems. Any improvements to our transportation infrastructure will take time, but road expansions for more cars only provides a short term benefit that inevitably leads to long term delays. By investing in public transportation, such as a broad train/rail system through our state in conjunction with a mass hiring of bus drivers both for schools and general public transport with more eco friendly buses as well, we can see a reduction and alleviation of our traffic problems throughout the state. There are a plethora of public transportation options that we see work well in other states and around the world, and frankly Nevada has fallen behind on this investment. We are overdue to see our tax dollars go towards solutions such as this. Public transportation options will bring in more people, more jobs, and strengthen our communities bonds and economies.
