Quality public education

Quality public education that is focused on early literacy, inclusive, services for best student outcomes, family-focused skills training to address systemic inequity resulting from generational low attainment and poverty, and proper social and mental health so that schools are safe spaces. In my experience, ed admins are often so self-protective and defensive about being part of a truly failed system that they are unable to imagine participating in change. We have turned out literally generations of Nevadans who are so poorly educated that some actually believe the system is adequate, but the data is very clear this is not the case. Until it is the case, the world will continue to mine Nevada for its labor & resources, but take the profits and quality of life improvements elsewhere.
