Sustainable food system

Nevada food systems are unstable due to a loss of farms, climate impacts, and a reliance on imports via routes affected by closures/disruption (weather, fire, pandemic). Nevada suffers from a persistent and high level of food insecurity, that is being exacerbated by new federal policies. There is a pressing need for investment in the next generation of farmers and farm innovation.
