The NRHA hasn't opened the section 8 wait list in years

I realize we also need more landlords to accept section 8 aka housing choice voucher program but also we need the waiting list lottery opened again. I mean for Carson City, Minden, Dayton, and Gardnerville it's all we have. There are some new attempts at tax credit properties building built and more landlords starting to think about accepting housing vouchers but if the list doesn't open and we don't have a choice to get pulled from the wait list lottery that really isn't going to help that much. These towns are getting bigger with no homeless shelters and no hope for housing choice vouchers. This is extremely important to the bigger rural towns.
