The price of car registration is insane in this state!

I purchased a vehicle in the state of Nevada… Henderson last year this is my first time having to pay for the registration since the dealer picked it up the first time… I just got a bill for almost $800 to register for one year… Every other state has lower registration prices than Nevada.I'm coming from the East Coast here as a transplant and I can tell you that my registration for the same exact vehicle was under $100 in the state of New Jersey… Why in the hell is it almost $800 in this state… This needs to be addressed!

The cost of car registration in Vegas is insanely high, the roads are not in the best shape and half the cars you see have no plates and are unregistered

Nevada has no state income taxes. They still have to generate income for services. This is one way to do that.

We need a tax on only new items! What happened to all the money from the weed sales! This used to be a great place to live but no longer! The people who run this city have not a clue, the casinos and Hotels shoot themselves in the foot, they charge for parking to spend money in their Hotels& casino’s for people o loose their money and spend money! We can’t go to a concert go to the strip everything has gotten very bad!

I moved from Maryland and even Maryland is 10 times cheaper. I drive around and see a lot of vehicles with no plates displayed. Now this is another issue because its a chain reaction. No plates = higher insurance = no insurance and registration being kept updated

It’s nevadas way to collect tax revenues for roads, infrastructure. My registration in PA was always 24.00/ yr. You’ll have to smog your car every year for about 120.00 a year too depending on the year of your vehicle.
