Uncontrolled growth/selling off our Public Lands
From "Welcome to The Nevada Forum!"
Go to the project
We are approaching a bonafide water crisis this summer. Our traffic is rivalling CA cities. Our local leaders are obviously profiting from developers' payoffs with an anything goes growth approach. See Redhawk/Wingfield Springs and the proposed development of the 18-hole golf course. All our infrastructure is negatively impacted. The growth is hurting our quality of life. Why do our leaders, including Cortez-Masto and Rosen, just keep pushing growth like it's a good thing. It is not a good thing.

I live in Douglas County where it’s run by supposed Republican Commissioners. They say before every vote before accepting expensive community projects that we do not have the money to pay for these things but yet still vote to accept it. We have our voted representatives chummy with the government workers. Government workers who have desires and no issues spending other peoples money whether we have to raise taxes or not. Who’s protecting the Douglas citizen?

Agree 100%. Cortez Masto and Rosen are pure Politicians and seem to have disregarded the Nevada Residents needs. Our Nevada Population has exploded due to our neighboring State's Immigrants. They've left because of the highest cost of living in the USA. As Nevada takes in the people, our State suffers. The Politician's haven't addressed this issue yet.

@Lorraine J. Unfortunately the way that they are addressing it is by writing bills selling off our public lands to build more multi family housing. They’re spending money on art projects, Tahoe Blue and a massive fairgrounds that puts LAs to shame.
