Fa'aana G.4 months ago Why this issue is important: Government officals and agency leaders take a solemn Oath of Office to uphold the Nevada Constitution et al. and protect "the people." However, a systemic "culture of silence" currently allows agencies to leave critical safety complaints stagnant for months without a required investigation per their scope of position. Thus, when "the people" provide evidence of hazardous conditions, administrative silence becomes a dereliction of duty. Without a law that forces agencies to provide a written "Statement of Action" or "Formal Denial" within a set timeframe, "the people" are left without a clear path to justice. Solving this nsures that transparency isn't just a promise, but a procedural requirement that holds every state actor accountable to the duties they were hired and sworn to perform.

The lack of mandatory, enforceable timeline for state agencies to respond to verified public health and safety complaints.
